What is the U-GIS community?
The U-GIS community is a volunteer community formed to support Unisba’s internationalization activities and efforts. This community is under the direct direction and facilitation of the International Office Unisba. The main participants of this community are active Unisba students interested in learning and experiencing valuable internationalization opportunities. As members of the U-GIS community, student(s) will play an essential role in shaping an inclusive campus environment by supporting the internationalization programs and activities of the Unisba Office of International Affairs. Student contributions may include:
- Providing services to international guests.
- Providing meaningful guidance and friendship to international students.
- Taking action at international events.
The U-GIS community can also share their knowledge and experience with the academic community, which is interested in internationalization and willing to participate in various programs and activities of the Office of International Affairs. In addition, this community can also help the process of disseminating the programs and activities of the Unisba Office of International Affairs. Some paradigms familiar to this community will include understanding global culture and ethics, tolerance for differences, means of learning foreign languages, and abilities needed to live in the era of globalization. This community was formed to support internationalization and ensure the readiness of Unisba and its entire academic community to face the world of international education in the future.
