Universitas Islam Bandung (Unisba) received an offer of cooperation in teaching, research, and community service. During the visit of Unisba leaders to the NUS campus in Singapore, which is one of the Universities in the World’s Top 100 Universities, namely the National University of Singapore (NUS) on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
The Unisba team was received directly at the I3 (i-cube) building of the NUS complex, by Dr. Robert de Souza PPA (G) C.Eng., M.CILT, Ph.D., M.Si., B. Sc. (Hons) as Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Logistics Institute at NUS and his staff. In his explanation, Bob, who is usually called Robert de Souza, said that as a higher education institution, NUS collaborates with various parties to advance science according to the needs of society, society, and the industrial world. Collaboration between the government, industry, and universities must continue to be developed to achieve the desired goals and results.
Vice-Rector IV of Unisba for Cooperation and Internationalization Dr. Ratna Januarita, S.H., L.L.M., M.H. said that Unisba can learn a lot and even partner with NUS as one of the best universities in the world. According to her, Unisba also developed a business incubator under the Institute for Community Service and Research (LPPM) based on the needs of industry and society, with a focus on the halal industry. Unisba has a cooperation department and international relations office (KUI) which functions to strengthen cooperation with other universities, industry, and the world of work. “Unisba develops national and international cooperation in realizing Unisba’s vision and mission to become an advanced, independent, and leading Islamic university in Asia. NUS is a potential partner to create synergies together and make a positive contribution to academia, government, industry, and the international community,” he added.
Unisba has established good relations with several national and international universities, one of which is the National University of Singapore (NUS). Some Unisba alumni have even continued their studies and even become researchers at universities that are included in the world’s top 100. The collaboration with NUS will strengthen capacity and authority and even international cooperation based on increasing knowledge in the international industrial world in the future. The Unisba delegation also visited and analyzed NUS facilities so that they could be adjusted in the process of developing Unisba into a quality international university.
