The Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2024 held an Onboarding event at the Auditorium Building D of the Ministry of Education and Culture on Tuesday (21/5/2024). The event was attended by IISMA 2024 scholarship award recipients and representatives of the International Office from various universities in Indonesia, including Bandung Islamic University (Unisba).
The IISMA scholarship award recipients from Unisba T.A. 2024/2025 are Arini Baasir from the Faculty of Psychology, Nazyra Syafa Pramesti D. from the Faculty of Psychology, Salma Hanifa from the Faculty of Tarbiyah & Keguruan, and Muhammad Yeoh Valent from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
Nazyra Syafa Pramesti Diadara and Arini Baasir were also present as representatives of Unisba and recipients of the 2024 IISMA scholarship, accompanied by the Head of the Unisba International Office (KUI), Siska Nia Irasanti, drg., M.M.
The IISMA 2024 Onboarding activity was the official release of the IISMA 2024 awardees by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A. The head of the higher education institution symbolically carried out this release event by pinning the awardees who represented their respective campuses at the event.
Nazyra Syafa Pramesti Diadara and Arini Baasir, two Awardees from Universitas Islam Bandung, said that the IISMA 2024 Onboarding event was very solemn. According to them, it is also a platform to make connections and get acquainted with other awardees.
The IISMA 2024 Onboarding event was also attended and supported by the Head of the IISMA Program, Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya. It was also attended by the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Abdul Haris, M.Sc., Academic Director of Vocational Higher Education, Dr. Beny Bandanadjaja, S.T., M.T., Secretary General of Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Didik Eko Pujianto, and Director of the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP), I r. Dwi Larso MSIE, Ph.D..
The awardees are expected to become Ambassadors of the Nation in the country where they will study for one semester. They are expected to represent their respective regions and introduce regional culture to the world community.
